Talk

A conversation on poetry responding to art, art responding to the times, and more, with visual artist Ellen Gallagher and Academy Chancellor Terrance Hayes. Hayes wrote the ekphrastic poem “Wigphrastic” in response to Gallagher’s print series “DeLuxe.”

The Fall Conversation Series, presented by the Academy of American Poets and Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, explores how different art forms engage with poetry and features leading poets and cultural leaders in other disciplines.

Free and open to the public.
