Pride, Protest, and Power: Marching for Queer Liberation and Medicaid Justice

Pride, Protest, and Power: Marching for Queer Liberation and Medicaid Justice

This Pride season, we showed up and showed out—not just in celebration, but in resistance. As part of the Queer Liberation March, we took to the streets to advocate for trans rights, demand Medicaid justice, and push back against every system that tries to erase us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! Under the blazing summer sun, surrounded by joy, color, and community, we marched with purpose. With no cops, no corporations, and no compromises, we reminded the world what Pride is truly about: liberation.

We marched to challenge the violent systems that continue to target our communities—especially Trans, TGNCNB, and LGBTQIA+ folks—with harmful policies, healthcare exclusions, and social neglect. These attacks aren’t theoretical; they’re deadly. And we refuse to stay silent.

We stood shoulder to shoulder with thousands, declaring:

Our lives are not erasable.

Our care is not negotiable.

Our existence is not up for debate.

As the fight to protect and expand Medicaid continues, we see it as a queer issue, a trans issue, a racial justice issue—and a life-or-death issue. Denying care is denying dignity.

From all of us on the Advocacy Team:

Thank you for marching, speaking out, and showing up. None of this is possible without you.

This was more than a march. It was a movement. And we’re just getting started.
