Currently under construction, Pitkin Avenue Residence is a 39-unit affordable and supportive housing development in East New York, providing 22 supportive studio apartments for individuals with lived experience of homelessness. Scheduled for completion in September 2026, the project represents Housing Works' first stand-alone LIHTC development and was made possible through the strategic acquisition and merger of adjacent development sites. The project will deliver high-quality, service-enriched housing designed to promote long-term stability and health, with on-site supportive services, a rooftop garden with a solar canopy, and convenient access to healthcare across the street at a Federally Qualified Health Center operated by Housing Works. Pitkin Avenue was financed through HCR 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HCR SHOP, HHAP, AANYC, and HUD Continuum of Care funding.
