The Groundbreaker Awards

The Groundbreaker Awards

The Groundbreaker Awards
, Housing Works’ premier fundraising celebration, is coming to life on April 14th, 2026.

Since 2013, the Groundbreaker Awards has annually gathered luminaries from across home and design, entertainment, philanthropy and business to laud the philanthropic achievements of a host of truly exceptional individuals. Whether in league with Housing Works’ mission to provide healthcare and housing for all, or on behalf of other humanitarian causes, Groundbreaker Awards’ honorees are all potent change agents working toward the public good.

2026 honorees will be announced soon, and will join the ranks of previous honorees and presenters including: Award-winning actor Patricia Arquette; President and CEO of Hermès, Robert Chavez; President of Kering America, Laurent Claquin; actress Maggie Gyllenhaal; journalist Tamron Hall; fashion advocate Bethann Hardison; model and entrepreneur Iman; designer Charlotte Moss; designer Miles Redd; President of the Ford Foundation, Darren Walker; and Bloomingdale’s among many others.

The event will be a singular magical evening featuring an exclusive auction among other signature activations. All proceeds will go toward Housing Works’ lifesaving healthcare, housing, justice initiatives and supportive services provided annually to thousands of vulnerable New Yorkers.
