Justice
Justice
Safety and justice require equitable resources, not policing.
Criminalization, policing, and incarceration undermine public health and safety—especially for Black, Brown, queer, and low-income communities. For true community safety, we must change harmful policies and support funding for housing, healthcare, job training, and reentry services.
We fight to:
- Close Rikers and invest in community-based supports
- Expand housing, healthcare, and reentry services for people returning home
- Decriminalize drug possession and sex work
- Protect federal funding for reentry programs and health services
- Repair harms from cannabis enforcement by reinvesting tax revenue into housing, healthcare, and jobs
