Our Services
-
Caribbean Services
Over the years our collaborations with grassroots AIDS organizations in Haiti and Puerto Rico have led to full-fledged partnerships.
-
Case Management
In the 15 years that Housing Works has been providing Case Management services, helping them access vital services such as medical care, mental heath care, substance use treatment, and housing.
-
Health Care
We offer clients the option of either stand-alone medical services or a holistic health care program that also includes meals, counseling, wellness, and other supportive services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
-
Housing
Housing is the cornerstone of health and empowerment for our clients. Housing Works residences provide homeless and low-income people living with HIV/AIDS a stable environment where they can focus on their health.
-
Job Training
The Second Life Job Training Program is New York State’s first and most successful job training and placement program for homeless people living with HIV.
-
Legal Services
Housing Works provides free legal advice and assistance to hundreds of homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS, representing them in individual client matters and winning a variety of landmark “impact litigation” cases on issues critical to AIDS and homelessness.
-
Prevention and Services
Housing Works utilizes an approach called harm reduction to provide critical individual and group services to individuals at risk for and living with HIV and AIDS. Harm reduction means providing a nonjudgmental setting in which clients set small, achievable goals. Our programs help clients move along a continuum of health and wellness in a culturally appropriate manner.
