Join the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators Metro NYC Chapter for an evening of mingling and refreshments, especially focusing on and celebrating writers and artists from marginalized communities who create work for children.

Marginalized voices are those who have experienced significant barriers to publication and/or employment in the publishing industry. This includes Black, Asia-Pacific, Latinx, Native, disabled, and QUILTBAG community members

This event is free and open to all, but please bring a book or books to donate if you can, and we will welcome a $5 donation from those who are able.
