ACT UP's "FRIENDLY" DIE-IN @ THE NYPL FRIDAY 5pm

ACT UP's "FRIENDLY" DIE-IN @ THE NYPL FRIDAY 5pm

This Friday at 5pm, ACT UP NY will stage a “friendly die-in” on the opening day of the New York Public Library exhibition on the history of AIDS activism. ACT UP and allies are demonstrating in support of the exhibit to raise awareness about present-day HIV-related issues, and to make a collective statement saying: AIDS is NOT History!

According to ACT UPer Reed Vreeland, “The main message at the demonstration will be the NYC department of health stalling on the PrEP and PEP campaign.”

People should feel free to bring signs/costumes/pamphlets that explain an issue that hasn’t been well covered by the media.

Here is the Facebook page with more info. Share it with your networks!

The NYPL exhibition, which based on its website looks quite remarkable, runs from October 4 through April 4th.
