Muslims Unscripted: "Hope"

Talk

We're thrilled to welcome back this open mic night showcasing the incredible talents of Muslims in the Big Apple, hosted by the Islamic Center of NYU's Professionals Group (ICP) and emceed by Asif Ansari.

If the first event is anything to go by, the evening promises to be filled with laughter, reflection and even a few tears as performers bring the event's theme "Hope" to life through spoken word, comedy, song, and more! During these challenging times, we need to come together to celebrate who we are on our terms, beyond the headlines. Muslims Unscripted aims to do just that by creating a safe space to amplify voices of hope. You don't want to miss this event!

Performing will be:

Enn Kay: Poetry

Kashif Sheikh: Original Song with Guitar

Ibrahim Abdul-Matin: Essay Reading

Batina Bamba: Original Song

Asif Ansari: Stand-up Comedy

Shaeera Tariq: Original Song with Guitar
