Client Programs
Our volunteers stand toe to toe with us as we fight to end the Twin Crisis of AIDS and Homelessness. Lend your voice to participate in our Advocacy and Outreach functions, or your expertise in various disciplines to support our clients as they develop the educational and life skills necessary to successfully engage in independent living.
Marketing/Outreach Volunteer
When you donate to Housing Works, you give a second chance to homeless HIV-positive New Yorkers. In order to keep up the good work, our Donations Department needs a volunteer to help them stay organized and get the word out. If you like working with lots of people, this is a great volunteer opportunity!

Client Tutor
The Spring 2010 semester of our client-centered Job Training Program is almost over and the Summer session is right around the corner! The program provides classes in basic math and writing skills (6th-8th grade level), and prepares clients for careers at Housing Works. Often, the students need a bit of one-on-one help to really excel and improve, and that’s where you can help, by becoming a tutor!
Tutors are needed Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2:30 -3:30pm and must commit to the 12 week long semester.

Food Service Volunteers
Our clients need to stay strong for whatever the future holds, and a good meal can help them in that direction. Our kitchen is open from 9 am-3 pm, and we need volunteers who can commit to a four-hour shift during that time.
Location: 320 W. 13th St.
