Housing Works clients frequently struggle with chemical dependency. Housing Works obtained State licensing to develop programming dedicated to alcoholism and substance abuse / dependence treatment in order to provide specialized addiction services for the homeless and low-income HIV-positive community.

Programs and services focus on evidence-based practices, in the context of a “harm reduction” approach. Innovative treatment models offer alternatives to traditional treatments that may have been unsuccessful in the patient treatment history.
