Pass GENDA!

New York City’s LGBT Pride March is right around the corner, on June 28. At Housing Works, we’re especially proud of our Coordinator of Transgender Services Bali White (pictured above, left, in a widely seen public service announcement about HIV with transgender Housing Works client Vivian Ponce . Bali was honored this week by New York City Comptroller Bill Thompson for her work spearheading Housing Works pioneering services for HIV-positive and HIV-negative transgender New Yorkers, a population especially hard hit by the AIDS epidemic. Read more about Bali and Housing Works’ efforts to push New York State to pass GENDA , legislation that would prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression.
