MEN’S HEALTH FASHION DIRECTOR BRIAN BOYE HOSTS HOUSING WORKS’ “SHARP DRESSED MAN”
Men’s Health Fashion Director Brian Boyé is teaming up with Housing Works Thrift Shops for the April installment of its Editor’s Choice charity shopping event. Who better to host the event than the style guru of the world’s largest men’s magazine?
Boyé will curate and stock Housing Works’ flagship Chelsea Thrift Shop with racks of chic suits and office-appropriate casual wear from top designer labels, including Tom Ford, Prada, Etro, Paul Smith and Dolce & Gabbana, all at charitable prices. Additionally, many designer brands have donated new clothing and accessories specifically for this event, including Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Nautica, Tailla Orange and Cole Haan. Guests can also bid in a silent auction on many of these items displayed in the Chelsea windows March 26-April 1 with all proceeds benefiting Housing Works.
“Spring is a great time to clean out your closest and refresh your wardrobe for the warmer months ahead,” says Boyé. “I’ve been donating to Housing Works for years, and they do a fantastic job of collecting the best in designer clothing and accessories and offering them back to New Yorkers at an affordable cost.” He adds, “I’m thrilled to be a part of this event to help men and women update their looks affordably while supporting Housing Works’ wonderful charitable cause.”
Boyé will be on hand at the event to help attendees select gently-used designer apparel and accessories available at the thrift store as well as new clothing donated specially for this event. Additionally, the Men’s Health “Medicine Cabinet” will be stocked with men’s grooming products and fragrances, including Clarins Men, Lab Series Skincare for Men and Aveda.
A selection of formal and casual office wear for women will also be available.
Partygoers can enjoy cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres courtesy of The Works Catering. Guests are invited to shop, and encouraged to bring clothing donations when they arrive.
