Media Advisory: Washington, D.C. HIV/AIDS Mayoral Candidates Forum

Where do candidates stand on the issues driving the epidemic in Washington, D.C.—and how do they plan to fight it?

Why
At least 3 percent of District residents are living with HIV. Nearly 7 percent of black men in the city are are positive. The housing program for HIV positive people in our nation’s capital has a wait list of more than 700 people. With D.C.‘s infection rate far higher than those of Haiti, Ghana and Ethiopia, we want to foster conversation about how candidates propose to solve this problem—NOW.
