About Me

Tyler Isaac Wisler was born in 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii to a mother who was a drama major and a father who was a general contractor. Tyler was named after an established architect in Honolulu, “Ty” Sutton. This fortunate mix of elements foreshadowed what road the boy’s life would be taking. The Wisler family’s first home was constructed from start to finish by Tyler’s father, designed by Mr. Sutton, and thus Tyler’s journey began. Always having a knack for coordinating, and styling, even at the youngest of ages, his mother never discouraged his talents and quickly enrolled him in art classes, painting workshops, and creative thinking courses. Art and the creative process was second nature and became an important part of his educational curriculum. Upon graduating from high school, Tyler left the tropical paradise for the chance to submerge his appetite for design on the east coast where he continued his studies. Soon after graduating from Marymount University with his Interior Design degree in hand, fate stepped in, and Tyler was given the opportunity to come on board with Michael Braverman Design, Inc. There, Tyler was given the chance to experience all aspects and styles of interior design, from initial site measurements, to space planning and programming, fabric and furnishing selections, to designing custom case goods. He was able to formulate budgets for cost conscience clients and create inspirational spaces where money wasn’t an issue. It’s passion for creating that pulses through Tyler’s body, but now there’s an additional motivational factor in the form of his family. In 2005, Tyler married his life partner Adrian after 11 years. In 2006 the couple moved to New Jersey to open a new chapter in their lives as foster parents. In February of 2011 their family unit was changed forever when TEAM WISLER was officially established and they adopted their son Paolo. Recently given the amazing opportunity to be a part of the phenomenal competition series DESIGN STAR, Tyler showcased his talents both as a designer and as a television personality. Tyler has a global portfolio specializing in tailoring environments to their owners while interjecting his personal design aesthetics throughout. A space becomes a success, when it has meaning to those living and using it. A home is a collection of memories, the layering of senses, and a series of spaces that evoke emotion. The measure of a great room is the amount of happiness you feel when you’re in it… Tyler believes everyone has the right to be happy and proud of their home.
