World AIDS Day Vigil

Past Event from Monday, December 1, 2008 at 4:00 am

Housing Works will host our 14th annual 24-hour World AIDS Day commemoration, the “Reading of the Names Vigil” at City Hall Park. Rain, sleet or snow, hundreds of participants will call out the names of thousands of people who have died of AIDS. Anyone can come by and read names to alert the powers that be that no one else need die of AIDS or get HIV. Join us in reminding the world that AIDS is not over.
