Working Moms Unite: Writers on Pregnancy and Parenting

Five authors discuss the joys and challenges of pregnancy and motherhood while fulfilling careers in writing and journalism.

 

JORDAN REID is the founding editor of the lifestyle blog Ramshackle Glam, the co-author of The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant People (with Erin Williams), and the author of two parenting and style memoirs. She has conceptualized and executed national campaigns for companies including Dove, TJ Maxx, DKNY, and Ecco Domani, and has hosted several home decor and style shows, including Jordan In The House, Allure Magazine's Beauty Within Reach, and an upcoming network show focusing on sustainable housing and decor. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband, two children, and two dogs.


ERIN WILLIAMS is a writer, illustrator, and oncology researcher living in New York with her husband and child. She works as a lead clinical data analyst at Flatiron Health. The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant People is her first book.

YLONDA GAULT CAVINESS is an independent journalist, focused on family, parenting & relationship topics. Op-Ed Contributor, The New York Times. Contributor, Essence & Working Mother. Graduate of Northwestern University. New Jersey resident. Mother to three of the coolest human beings on the planet. Her latest book is Child, Please.

Since moving to New York EMILY GOULD has had a number of jobs, including work at Hyperion Books and Gawker.com. She runs Emily Books, a feminist publishing project. Her latest novel is Friendship.
