Student Global AIDS Campaign National Conference

Friday, February 1–Sunday, February 3

The Student Global AIDS Campaign is kicking off 2013 with our Annual National Conference from Feb 1st - Feb 3rd. Students from across the country will gather at St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont for a weekend of skill-building workshops, educational training, and strategy planning for our campaign to end the AIDS pandemic.

Every year, the national conference serves as the most important meeting for our student organization and youth-led campaigns, and we all leave the weekend with the tools, direction, and contacts we need to continue our successful activism. This year, the conference will include:

1. The first pre-conference summit for HIV Positive youth on Friday, February 1st.
2. Training workshops led by longtime activists in advocacy tactics including lobbying, action planning, civil disobedience, birddogging, and media work.
3. Education sessions about current issues in the global AIDS pandemic, led by experts in the field.
4. Strategy planning for our national campaigns moving forward.
5. Participation in a rally and action together.
6. Social events on Friday and Saturday planned by St. Michael's College SGAC Chapter.

Are you a young person who wants to be involved in the fight against global AIDS? You can register for the conference here.

SGAC does not charge a registration fee for the conference, and is committed to helping as many young people travel to the conference as possible. However, we rely on donations from our supporters to make this possible. Would you like to support the next generation of AIDS activists? Please donate to help us cover the travel costs for youth who want to attend the conference.

We hope you'll join us or support us on February 1st.  The youth movement to end AIDS is stronger than ever, and we're looking forward to making trouble and saving lives in 2013!
