Radiator Launch Party

The launch of a new literary journal from Praytell. Created in recognition of the creative minds of Brooklyn & NYC, Radiator is full of ideas from both up and coming and established local talents. Please join us for a brief reading, social gathering, snacks and beer. With readings from Kurt Boone, Christine Friar, Joshua Max Feldman, Meredith Haggerty, David Tomas Martinez, Bianca Stone, and Chris Messer.

About the readers:

Kurt Boone is freelance writer and independent author base in New York City. He has written for Urban Velo Magazine, PBS Metro New York and Narratively.  His most recent book is The Skyscraper Shuffle. Visit his website at

Joshua Max Feldman is a writer of fiction and plays. Born and raised in Amherst, Massachusetts, he has lived in England, Russia, and Switzerland. He currently resides in Brooklyn. The Book of Jonah, published in 2014 by Henry Holt, is his first novel.

Christine Friar is a writer from Brooklyn. She works at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Úrsula Fuentesberain was born and raised in Mexico. She moved to New York to do her MFA in Writing at Sarah Lawrence College under the sponsorship of a Fulbright grant. Her stories are included in eight fiction anthologies in Spanish. Esa membrana finísima (That very thin membrane) came out last summer in Mexico and is her first short story collection.

Meredith Haggerty is the Reports Editor for Racked. She was formerly the guest host of WNYC's TLDR, an editor at, and a book editor. She has never broken into anyone else's home, at least that she is willing to admit to.

Chris Messer works at The Center for Fiction in midtown Manhattan. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. His work has appeared in several journals, including Post Road, No Tokens, and The Fiddleback. He is originally from the Monongahela River Valley in Southwestern Pennsylvania and currently lives in Brooklyn.
