You will receive your book the night of the event. Note: Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The bookstore will close at 5:30PM to setup the event and reopen at 6PM. The event will begin at 7PM. WORD Bookstore will be on hand to sell books.
Guaranteed admission spots are now SOLD OUT. See below for details about how to meet Mr. Sedaris after the talk if you did not get a guaranteed admission spot.
Only ticket holders will be admitted to the presentation in the bookstore; however, after the presentation we will open the signing line to anyone interested. We will ask non-ticket holders to line up outside the store and following the presentation will invite all guests to line up by groups for the signing line. Those with a ticket will be admitted to the signing line first; however, anyone who wishes to join the signing line may do so without a pre-purchased book.

More about Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls: A new collection of essays from the #1 New York Times bestselling author who has been called "the preeminent humorist of his generation" (Entertainment Weekly). From the unique perspective of David Sedaris comes a new book of essays taking his readers on a bizarre and stimulating world tour. From the perils of French dentistry to the eating habits of the Australian kookaburra, from the squat-style toilets of Beijing to the particular wilderness of a North Carolina Costco, we learn about the absurdity and delight of a curious traveler's experiences. Whether railing against the habits of litterers in the English countryside or marveling over a disembodied human arm in a taxidermist's shop, Sedaris takes us on side-splitting adventures that are not to be forgotten.
Please note: No photography or video recording allowed. Mr. Sedaris will only sign his own work.
