Housing Works: Housing Prevents AIDS. Housing Improves Health.

Each year, the highly anticipated Fashion for Action sample sale and benefit gala generates significant attention from attendees, guests, and in the media. Housing Works Thrift Shops’ annual four-day event kicks off with a private preview sale at our Chelsea thrift shop and gala reception nearby at the Rubin Museum of Art on November 18th. The sale is then open to the public November 19-21.

Plan to make a difference by donating designer accessories, clothing, and beauty products to benefit Housing Works’ network of health centers. The 2009 benefit helped us raise $350,000 toward quality medical care and supportive services for women affected by HIV/AIDS. But our work is not done. AIDS is still the leading cause of death for African-American women aged 25 to 34 and the numbers keep growing each year right here in the U.S.
