Come celebrate the launch of Emily Books, an independent ebookstore that specializes in mind-blowingly awesome, criminally underappreciated works of fiction and nonfiction by women. Emily Gould and Ruth Curry started Emily Books in October; each month they pick a different book that subscribers receive automatically and everyone else can buy a la carte. November’s pick is Inferno (a poet’s novel) by Eileen Myles. Eileen Myles has published 12 books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry and is known for her thrilling, one-of-a-kind readings. We’ll have an open bar for the first hour thanks to sponsor Tumblr, a reading from Eileen, and a raffle with prizes including a one-year Emily Books subscription (a $159.99 value).
