Drunk TED Talks Roasts: “Great” Literary Men

Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 7:00pm

Drunk TED Talks returns to Housing Works for another evening of mocking self-important men of letters, some of whom aren't even named Jonathan. (This time.) Fitzgerald, Bukowski, Gladwell, Thoreau – these men are all canonical... but are they really all that great? Come for loving jokes about the writers you hate to love, stay for the merciless jokes about the writers you love to hate. (Literary insight sold separately.)

Doors at 6:30pm, show at 7:00pm. Runs until 9pm with a short intermission.

  • Charlotte Shane on Charles Bukowski
  • Eve Peyser on Malcolm Gladwell
  • Rachel Syme on F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • Jaboukie Young-White on Henry David Thoreau

This event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. However, due to space constraints for our event set-up, the store will close to the public at 6PM and re-open again at 6:30PM.
