Laura Bohn Design Associates is a New York-based international architectural and interior design consulting firm that was started in 1980. The aesthetic concept of the company combines contemporary minimalism, custom-designed furniture, antiques, and unexpected color palettes.
In addition to architectural and interior design projects, the company has designed furniture, fabrics, and wallcoverings that reflect a sensual exploration of textures. Laura Bohn has created collections of fabrics and wallpapers for various textile houses, for which she has received two Roscoe awards, and is in the process of developing a tabletop collection.
LBDA has worked in commercial spaces and residences in the United States, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to designing photo shoots and the sets of motion pictures.
The work of Laura Bohn has been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Elle Decor, HG, Interior Design, Progressive Architecture, Interiors, Metropolitan Home, Martha Stewart Living, House Beautiful, Decorating & Remodeling, Casa Vogue, Interni, Popeye, Albenaa, Brutus, Modern Living, Kukan and Fusion Planning. LBDA’s work has also appeared on and between the covers of Showcase of Interior Design, New American Style, The Book of Lofts, Bath Design, High Tech, The New York Times Home Book, and East Coast Rooms to name a few.
Laura Bohn, a graduate of Pratt Institute, serves as a member on the Advisory Board at Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as a visiting critic at local design schools. She has served on the Board of Directors for Youth at Risk and head of the education committee for the Decorator’s Club. Laura Bohn was inducted into the Interior Design Magazine Hall of Fame in 1998.
