Jack began designing in 1995, and has since been recognized by publications such as House and Garden, Traditional Home, Veranda, Interior Design Magazine, American Way Magazine, and The New York Times for his residential, corporate, and commercial design projects.
Jack’s style is luxuriously simple. He bends the rules of tradition, mixing silk velvets with ultra modern furniture, or contrasting a casual burlap on a Louis XVI Bergere, always keeping in mind the importance of function.
Inspired by nature’s tranquility, his projects often start with colors of stone and water adding more exciting colors like reds and oranges taken from New England Autumn leaves as well as the spice markets in Marrakesh. He will often pull from several design periods, layering different looks to create unique spaces that suit each client individually. Although he admits there is a common thread throughout his design process, Jack strives to bring each client’s personal style to a new level.
In each project, Jack creates dramatic, beautiful spaces that are comfortable to live in day-to-day. People often refer to Jack’s designs as elegant and sophisticated, yet crisp and comfortable.
In his desire to give back to the community, Jack has participated in many charity events including the Kipps Bay Showhouse, Elle Décor’s Diffa dinners, and the Traditional Homes “Built for Women” Show house, and Housing Works “Design on a Dime” Event 2007. He feels it is important to expose all to good design.
Jack is currently involved in numerous residential and commercial projects in New York, New Jersey, Long Island, and Connecticut.
