“Who does your amazing windows?” It’s a question asked at least 3 times a day. Or, “I walk by here just to see what you guys come up with”. Seven days per week, seven stores (and counting), 365 days per year….that’s a lot of props these three talented individuals get from the work they do for Housing Works Thrifts Online Auctions. You might see them on any given day, stuffed into a small space, armed and sweaty with staple gun, laptop and digital camera. Each of these three brings a vast amount of creativity, experience and heart to the daily task as professionals, artists and activists.
Visual Director, Marea Judilla, is a fine artist who has been with Housing Works for more than four years, starting as a volunteer. She has witnessed the birth and growth of the window auctions and has been instrumental in accelerating the visual standards of the windows, auctions and stores. www.mareajudilla.com
