PC Technician

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Housing Works’ many departments
  • Assess needs, evaluate options and propose solutions regarding software and hardware issues
  • Utilize Salesforce to track, document, and close tickets
  • Ongoing inventory management
  • Create and modify Active Directory objects
  • Provision workstations/laptops for employee use
  • Recommend and participate in staff training and participate in staff department meetings.
  • Write technical documentation explaining essential functions in a user friendly manner
  • Participate in direct action to end the dual crisis of AIDS and homelessness

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science w/ 1 year of experience in PC repair or
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or better w/ 1 year of experience in PC Repair
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Client OS
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
