Volunteer Party: 2 More Weeks!

It’s 3am. It’s hot. You can’t sleep because you’re up thinking about how just a few hours ago you were having the best moments of your life while volunteering at Housing Works. How many times have we all been there? In your head you try to calculate the amount of hours you put in a month, a year-you wonder, ‘well if I put in that many hours and all my friends put in the same amount, just how many hours do volunteers contribute to Housing Works?” Alright, so maybe we here in the Volunteer Department are just hoping you all are up at 3am thinking about us! But the fact is, that you guys contribute a lot to this organization. Annually our volunteers donate well over a couple hundred thousand volunteer hours, and when you add it up you help us make hundreds of thousands of dollars that we can use towards our programs for our HIV-positive families. Your time truly is money, and we appreciate you. What you give to us in spirit and dedication is truly immeasurable, and all we can say is THANK YOU..and throw you a party!
In admiration and appreciation of your selfless work, of your smiles that lift our spirits, your friendship, for sewing buttons back on our shirts, sorting through endless books, entering all that data, and more, we cordially invite our volunteers to attend the Housing Works Volunteer Appreciation Party!
Sunday, July 25th volunteers can enjoy a night of fun, music, awesome raffle prizes, gift bags, food and drinks, and a 35% off in store sale! The night will kick off at the Chelsea Thrift Shop from 6-9pm. (Please note the party location will no longer be at the Cylar House as the previous invite stated.)
