Over the next ten years, Housing Works will continue to fulfill its mission by:
- Creating 1,000 units of new permanent housing in New York City that is affordable to persons
on public entitlements, persons on fixed incomes and working persons.
- Replicating the Housing Works model (direct service programs, advocacy offices and
entrepreneurial ventures) in local communities in Upstate New York and in at least five
additional United States urban centers.
- Establishing a global network of grassroots activists committed to ending the twin epidemics of
homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
- Demonstrating through rigorous research the effectiveness of Housing Works' harm reduction
approach to the provision of housing, health care and supportive services.
- Employing former Housing Works clients, including graduates of the Housing Works Job
Training Program, at all levels of staff and management, including Executive Management.
