Two extraordinary books featuring coloring lithographs by Pablo Picasso have recently come in to Housing Works. The first is Verve’s Picasso and the Human Comedy, printed in Paris in 1954 and brought out in America by Harcourt, Brace and Company (issues 29/30). June brings back our beloved Open Air Street Fair, plus comedy, storytelling, music, and readings about film and food. After all, Housing Work Bookstore Cafe is “curating the kinds of shows one would be hard-pressed to find staged at the local Barnes & Noble” according to the New York Post.
